Atypical traumatic bone cyst involving impacted lower third molar: report of case

ABSTRACT The traumatic bone cyst is an uncommon nonneoplastic lesion of the jaws that considered as a “pseudocyst” because lack epithelial lining. This particularly asymptomatic and, therefore, diagnosed by routine dental radiographic examination unilocular radiolucency with scalloped borders, mainly in posterior mandibular region. exact etiopathogenesis remains uncertain, though it often associated trauma. objective this paper to report one case atypical involving impacted lower third molar, addressing its clinical and characteristics, differential diagnosis, treatment through surgical exploration follow-up.
